I live in a small coastal town, where the winters are black and white, and the summer skies are a bright shade of blue. As a designer, I value traditions and the craftsmanship of the women in my family. They have taught me to see the beauty in even the smallest of details.
My patterns are clear and have a soft graphic. Thanks to the color choices I make, the motifs on my patterns either enhance or melt into the patterns.
I belong to the group Scandinavian Pattern Collection, where my role as a member is to design patterns for Japanese customers. The projects with the Japanese customers have been anything from designing patterns for porcelain to umbrellas. The companies that have used my patterns are: Uniqlo, Nishikawa, Ogawa, Loft- and Isetan shopping centers, the Japanese post, Pilot and Arco Store.
I have been working since 1998 as the principal lecturer in Design at Novia University of Applied Sciences.
